Carlucci Gets Backing of Rockland Working Families Party

Senate senator receives endorsement of Democratic and Working Families parties.

Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) announced that he has received the endorsement of the Rockland County Working Families Party (WFP) for re-election to the 38th State Senate District.

Carlucci said the party shares his commitment to fighting for a progressive New York.

“Over the past two years, I have fought tirelessly to champion the issues that matter, such as fighting to increase the minimum wage, supporting the extension of the millionaire’s tax, and supporting workers’ rights," said Carlucci. "Hudson Valley residents can rest assure that they have a fighter who is willing to stand up against the special interests.”

The WFP was formed by a grassroots coalition of community organizations, neighborhood activists, and labor unions.

"Senator Carlucci is a fighter who has never been afraid to take on the tough issues for working families in the Hudson Valley," said Rockland County WFP Chairman Bob Milone. "He has the right experience and progressive record of results that we need in Albany."

The party states that its core mission is to build a society that works for all New Yorkers. The WFP has played a critical role in major races throughout New York State on the state and local level in recent years.

This marks the third major endorsement for the first term senator’s campaign. He received the unanimous endorsement of the Rockland County Democratic Party and the Ossining Town Democratic Committee in Westchester County.
