An individual spotted purses left in locked cars, smashed the vehicle windows and removed the valuables, police said. These incidents are classified as "smash and grab" larcenies.

Piermont Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at (845) 359-0240. Also, residents and visitors using the pier are urged to lock their cars and keep valuables out of sight.
