TV Truck Hits Pole, Closes Road

'Clean House' films, production vehicle slams telephone pole

A TV crew passed through South Nyack and Grandview Monday afternoon, gathering a crowd of curious onlookers—and knocking down a telephone pole on River Road.

Clean House, a home makeover show that airs on the Style Network, set up shop in the river village to shoot an episode earlier this week. As a result, traffic was snarled—but not because of cameras in the street.

A production van slammed into a telephone pole, snapped it in two and closing River Road for two hours, according to Robert Van Cura, South Nyack-Granview's police chief. The pole has since been repaired.
