Wednesday afternoon's fierce summer storm brought heavy rain, winds and lightning to much of Rockland County, knocking out power to more than 2,000 in Rockland.
The storm knocked down trees and wires, including in West Nyack and Nanuet.
As of 6 p.m., there were about 1,900 O&R customers still without power.
A large tree that snapped and fell into the road closed a section of Parrott Road in West Nyack.
