South Nyack PD to Collect Old Medicine

Operation Medicine Cabinet aims to safety dispose of drugs.

Rocklanders with outdated prescription drugs can dispose of them safely this weekend.

South Nyack-Grand View Police will host an Operation Medicine Cabinet event Saturday, Oct. 13 in conjunction with the Rockland County Sheriff's Department and Rockland County DA's office.

The authorities will collect "all outdated, unused or unwanted medication, including all controlled and non-controlled substances," according to South Nyack-Grand View police chief Robert Van Cura.

No questions will be asked, officials added.

The drive will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at South Nyack Village Hall; no household hazardous waste will be accepted.
