South Nyack Man Charged With DWI

Second man accused of criminal impersonation in parkway incident.

A South Nyack man is accused of drunken driving after being stopped on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Orangetown, according to State Police.

Anthony J. Metichecchia, 28, of South Nyack was traveling southbound between Exits 7 and 6 on the parkway when he was stopped at 12:50 a.m. Sunday, police said. After an investigation, police said Metichecchia was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

In the same incident, Justin M. Ramos, 30, of Pearl River was accused of second-degree criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor, police said.

Ramos and Metichecchia were both released pending a hearing in Orangetown Town Court in Orangeburg.
