An eight-car pileup just before the Tappan Zee Bridge early Saturday morning left several drivers injured, according to New York State Police.
A tractor trailer plowed into seven other vehicles near the span's toll plaza in Westchester at approximately 1:30 a.m., said Kevin Flynn, a Sgt. with State Police.
Traffic had slowed down due to bridge maintenance, and the truck driver lost control after hitting the brakes, Flynn added.
The police report lists eight drivers injured in the accident; no vehicles were carrying passengers, Flynn said.
