D.A.: Rockland Man Bilked Insurance for $3K in Medical Bills

A 41-year-old Thiells man used fake insurance information to swindle $3,170.15 in medical treatment, according to Rockland County District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe. 

Christopher Angelone of Crescent Drive in Thiells "intended to defraud an insurer by providing a false identity to a local hospital for services rendered," Zugibe said.

Angelone was indicted on July 12, 2013 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of insurance fraud in the third degree, grand larceny in the third degree and identity theft in the first degree.
