A man who drove recklessly and inebriated through Piermont is facing 14 traffic violations in the village alone, and is due in in two weeks.
21-year-old Carl R. Canzona from Tappan was behind the wheel in Orangetown when he fled from authorities at 2:30 a.m. last Sunday, eventually crossing into Piermont. While in the village, Canzona allegedly committed 14 traffic violations, including speeding, crossing a double-yellow line, failing to stop at red lights and driving the wrong way down a one-way street.
and responded to the incident. Canzona is being held in county jail, and will be arraigned on March 9.
And just where was he doing all his drinking? Surely bars and clubs have some responsibilty to stop serving drunken kids, and his friends should have taken his car keys. Lot of blame all around.
