Police: Two Arrested After Incident at Tappan Bar

Sparkill man accused of stealing items from bar patrons, Piermont man charged with disorderly conduct.

Two Orangetown men were arrested Saturday night after an incident at a Tappan bar, according to Orangetown Police.

Police said a Sparkill man was arrested in connection with the theft of items belonging to patrons of Morgan's Publick House, 70 Old Tappan Road, Tappan, and a Piermont man was charged for getting in the way of police making the arrest of the Sparkill man.

Jason Foley, 38, of Sparkill, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property. When he was arrested, police said they also discovered Foley was wanted in connection with Orangetown Town Court warrants charging him with assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.

Police said that as they were arresting Foley, Christopher Dagg, 32, of Piermont, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Both men were later released pending an Orangetown Town Court hearing in Orangeburg.
