Parents anxious about their car's child safety seat can gain peace of mind Wednesday afternoon.
will host a child safety seat inspection on Depew Avenue in Nyack, in front of , from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
"Police officers who are certified child safety seat technicians will be checking child seats for correct installation and any recalls that may have been issued by the manufacturers," said Robert Van Cura, the department's police chief.
The program is being held in conjunction with the Head Start of Rockland Health Fair, which features health-related services and vendors, and information about free low-cost insurance.
Both events are free and open to the public.
