Police: Piermont Man Drove While Intoxicated

45-year-old man arrested in South Nyack, faces misdemeanor charge.

A 45-year-old Piermont man was arrested this past weekend for driving while intoxicated in South Nyack, police said.

Adam J. Barile was stopped by South Nyack-Grand View Police at about 11 p.m. on Saturday after driving erratically on Piermont Avenue, according to chief Robert Van Cura.

Barile was taken to police headquarters following the arrest, where he refused a breath test. He is slated to appear in South Nyack Court Monday evening at 5:30 p.m.
