Police: Man Sexually Abused Woman in Parking Lot

A 68-year-old Wesley Hills man faces two misdemeanor charges.

A man believed to be linked to the sexual abuse of a 22-year-old woman outside of a Monsey gym has been arrested, Ramapo Police said today.

The victim—whose name was withheld by authorities—said she was abused in the parking lot of Sport-O-Rama Gym on 20 College Road at 5:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Ramapo Police carried out an investigation and consequently arrested Jeffrey Mednick, a 68-year-old man from 17 Onderdonk Rd., Wesley Hills.

Mednick has been charged with sexual abuse in the third and forcible touching, both misdemeanors.

Mednick was arraigned in the Town of Ramapo Justice Court, and was released after posting $1,000 bail.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
