Hole punched in wall, television damaged at Tappan home.

A domestic dispute led to the arrest of a 45-year-old Tappan man and a 41-year-old Tappan woman early Saturday on assault charges, according to Orangetown Police.

The arrests of Sergio Ambrosi and Daisy Chaves stem from an 8:15 a.m. incident on Central Avenue in Tappan. When town officers went to their home to investigate a report of a disturbance, police said Chaves told them that Ambrosi became violent as he came home from a night out drinking.

Chaves complained that she was hit in the face by Ambrosi, cutting her lip and jaw and causing pain and swelling. Additionally, Chaves told police that Ambrosi had punched a hole in a wall and damaged a television.
