Police Blotter: Arrest In Thefts, Bogus Prescription
Man charged in probe of unlicensed contracting.
Bogus Prescription Charge
Michael P. Smith, 32, of Haverstraw, is charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in connection with a fraudulent prescription presented at the CVS pharmacy in Stony Point, according to Stony Point police.
Police said Smith is accused of stealing a prescription in an attempt to obtain oxycodone. Police said Smith was arrested as he tried to pick up the prescription.

Smith was released on $1,000 bail pending an Aug. 4 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.
Resisting Arrest Charged

Deborah Figluzzi, 44, Tomkins Cove, is accused of criminal mischief and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors, in connection with a domestic dispute, according to Stony Point police.
Police said Figluzzi is accused of damaging another person’s property and resisting when town officers arrested her. Figluzzi is free pending an Aug. 4 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.
Theft Charged At Supermarket
Anthony M. Gato, 30, of Nanuet, was charged with petty larceny, possession of stolen property and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance in connection with a shoplifting incident, according to Stony Point police.
Police said Gatto is accused of taking assorted grocery items from the ShopRite supermarket in Stony Point. Police said that while investigating the incident Gatto was found to have a controlled substance.
Gatto was released on $100 bail pending a hearing in Stony Point Town Court.
Unlicensed Contracting Probe
Jeffrey Thomas, 49, of Pomona, was arrested on a warrant accusing him of petty larceny in connection with an investigation of unlicensed contracting, according to Stony Point police.
Police said Thomas is accused of taking payment for service and then failing to provide the service and failing to return the payment. Police said Thomas was arrested and ordered held in the Rockland County Correctional Center in New City on $500 bail, and was also being held in connection with warrants from Clarkstown police and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department.
