Nanuet man accused of violating Family Court Order

Family Court Warrant

A Nanuet man has been arrested on a warrant charging him with violating a Family Court order, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Department.

Guerlyne St. Hubert, 30, of Nanuet, was arrested Wednesday in New City based on a warrant issued on Oct. 26. He was brought to Rockland County Family Court in New City to face a charge that he owes $3,582.50 to the Rockland County Department of Social Services.

St. Hubert was later released pending a Dec. 14 hearing.

Attempt to avoid arrest

A Stony Point man is accused of trying to hide his true identity from police in an attempt to avoid being arrested on several warrants, according to Stony Point Police.

Carl Peon-Diaz, 44, of 309 W. Main St., Stony Point, was arrested Wednesday during a warrant investigation. Peon-Diaz was accused of false personation and obstructing governmental administration, police said, after he provided false information about his identity.

Peon-Diaz had warrants for his arrest in Peekskill and New York City, police said.

Peon-Diaz was arrianged in Stony Point Town Court and ordered held in the Rockland County Correctional Facility in New City pending a Dec. 18 hearing.

Drug charges

A Fort Montgomery, NY, man was arrested on drug charges after he was stopped for traffic violations, according to Stony Point Police.

Jose Jaquez, 38, of 5 Owens Farm Road, was arrested on Nov. 10 after an investigation found he was in possession of cocaine and marijuana, police said. Jaquez is charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Police said he was also charged with aggravate unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle as well as traffic violations. Jaquez was released pending a Dec. 6 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.

DWI charge

A Stony Point woman was charged with felony drunken driving after an auto accident, according to Stony Point Police.

Laurie Braverman, 51, of 12 Cheesecoate Court, Stony Point, was arrested Nov. 6 and charged with a felony because of a previous driving while intoxicated conviction within the past 10 years, police said. Police said Braverman was intoxicated at the time of the accident.

She was released pending a hearing in Stony Point Town Court.
