Police: Alleged Wrong-Way, Drugged-Up Driver Due in Piermont Court

Man allegedly drove down a one-way street illegally, struck another vehicle

A man who is accused of driving the wrong way down South Piermont Avenue while high on drugs will appear in Piermont Justice Court this coming June.

Ean Schlacter, a 32-year-old from Sparkill, also allegedly struck a parked vehicle during the May 13 incident. When Piermont Police arrived at the scene around 10 p.m. they learned Schlacter was driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. He also faces charges for driving a car past inspection.

Police administered a blood test to determine what drugs were in Schlacter's system and are awaiting results from New York State Police. Schlacter's court date is slated for June 22.
