Police: 9W Rollover Leads to Arrest

New Jersey woman arrested in Rockland County on New Year's Day.

A rollover on New Year's Day on Route 9W in Stony Point led to a drunk driving arrest, according to police.

Stony Point Police responded to a one-car accident on Jan. 1, and learned the driver was operating the car under the influence of alcohol and drugs, authorities said.

Lauren McDonough—47-years-old and from Oradell, NJ—was consequently charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired.

McDonough was "released on numerous traffic tickets," said Lt. Keith Williams, which are due Feb. 5.

The arrest was a linked to a special DWI enforcement program funded by the Rockland County STOP DWI, Williams added.
