Police: 4 Men Found With Burglar's Tools

New Jersey men held for arraignment; Orangetown police checking for possible links to recent burglaries.

Orangetown police, who are investigating a rash of burglaries in the town, are holding four New Jersey men today after they were found Monday night with burglar’s tools in a car stopped in Orangeburg, police said.

All four men were charged with possession of burglar’s tools, a misdemeanor, and were being held for arraignment in Orangetown Town Court in Orangeburg, according to Det. Lt. James Brown.

Brown said the four men were riding together in a vehicle in the Sickeltown Road area and were stopped by town officers at about 8:46 p.m. Brown said the men could not provide a legitimate reason for being in the area and the burglar’s tools were then found in the car.
