Piermont Police Update: North Shore Walkway Still Closed

Piermont Police report that the North Shore Walkway is not expected to reopen any time soon.

Last week, the Piermont Pier reopened for the first time since Hurricane Sandy.

North Shore Walkway remains closed and it could remain that way for a while.

"The North Shore Walkway is going to remain closed for quite some time," Piermont Police Chief Michael O'Shea said Monday. "Apparently, there is some damage to the wall. That won't be open until we know it is safe."
