Piermont Police Blotter: Indecent Exposure, Motorcycle Accident & Pier Closings

A look at some of the incidents Piermont police investigated over the past several days.

The Village of Piermont Police Department investigated the following recent incidents:

Exposure arrest

On July 28, at about 9:30 a.m., Piermont police arrested a Nyack resident for urinating in public at the mini mart. Police were tipped off by an onlooker; the perpetrator is due in court August 4.

Motorcycle accident

On June 25, at about 10 a.m., Piermont and Orangetown police responded to a motorcycle accident on Route 9W. The injured individual was brought to Nyack Hospital; he was later transferred to Westchester Medical Center, which has a level 1 trauma center.

Pier closing

On July 21, Piermont police closed the village pier due to high winds and surf from a storm; individuals on the pier were evacuated.
