Piermont Police Arrest Trespasser on Pier

Michael Sherman, 43, was charged with criminal trespass and possession of marijuana.

Piermont Police arrested Michael Sherman, 43, of Chestnut Ridge at 12:01 p.m. today. 

According to police, Sherman disobeyed a road closed signed and bypassed a locked gate to get to Piermont Pier, which is still closed to pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular traffic as it has been due to unsafe conditions since Hurricane Sandy. 

Sherman was charged with trespassing and unlawful possession of marijuana.
