Piermont Police Arrest Drunk Drive with Suspended License

Man had nine active suspensions on his license

recently arrested a drunk driver who possessed open containers of alcohol and was operating his vehicle with nine active suspensions on his license.

Felix R. Lopez, a 43-year-old from the Bronx, was pulled over at 9:10 p.m. on Feb. 18 when authorities witnessed him driving erratically on Route 9W in Piermont near Hickey Street. After investigating, police learned Lopez had nine suspensions on his license for following too closely, failure to stay in his lane and seven other traffic infractions.

Piermont Police arrested Lopez and charged him with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation. He is due in Piermont justice court March 9.
