Pearl River Man Accused Of DWI in Central Nyack

Police: Driver stopped for speeding on Route 59.

A Pearl River man who was stopped by police for speeding on Route 59 in Central Nyack this morning has been charged with drunken driving, according to .

Matthew Cobb, 25, of Pearl River, was stopped by a Clarkstown officer on patrol in Central Nyack at about 2:40 a.m. Police said Cobb appeared intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test.

Cobb was taken to Clarkstown Police Headquarters in New City, where police said Cobb failed a chemical breath test for alcohol. He was later released pending a Town Court hearing on a charges of driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and speeding.
