Nyack Woman Killed in PA Crash

Another Nyack man injured; PA police investigate

A Nyack woman was identified Monday morning as the person killed in a Pennsylvania automobile accident Saturday night, according to published reports in The Morning Call, a Lehigh Valley newspaper.

Antonia D. Luhers, a 38-year-old from Nyack, was thrown from her vehicle after it left the roadway and flipped several times, reports note.

The car was being driven by 34-year-old Nyacker Edward F. Swann, who received moderate injuries. Police noted Luhers was not wearing a seatbelt, but Swann was.

The accident occurred at around 9 p.m. on Interstate 80 in Monroe County.

State Police in Pennsylvania said they are continuing to investigate the accident, and could not release further details.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
