Nyack Man Charged with DWI on Route 59

Police: Incident early Saturday leads to arrest.

A Nyack man has been charged with drunken driving in connection with an incident early Saturday, according to State Police.

State troopers based in Haverstraw stopped David A. Augustine, 47, of Nyack, at about 12:46 a.m. on the eastbound side of Route 59.

Augustine was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was later released pending a hearing in Clarkstown Town Court in New City.
