Nyack Firefighter Injured at Thruway Brush Fire

A Nyack firefighter who was hurt at the site of this afternoon's blaze next to the New York Thruway will remain in hospital overnight April 21, according to the Nyack Free Press.

Nyack Fire Chief James Weck told Bill Demarest the firefighter is at Nyack Hospital being treated for a back injury.

The firefighter apparently slipped on a steel beam in the demolition debris at the old Stoffel Seals factory site on High Avenue, next to the brush fire, nyackfreepress.com reported.
