Motel Clerk Robbed At Gunpoint In West Nyack

Police searching for two men who held up Nyack Motor Inn.

The clerk at a West Nyack motel was robbed at gunpoint early this morning, according to.

Police this morning are searching for two men who held up the Nyack Motor Lodge, 110 N. Route 303, West Nyack, taking a still-undetermined amount of cash and then fleeing toward the nearby Palisades Center mall.

The incident took place about 2:10 a.m., with the motel clerk telling police that one of the men in the attack held a black, semi-automatic pistol on him whle the second man went behind the motel's front desk to take cash.

The attackers were described as:

- A black male, in his late teens, about 5-foot-10, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and carrying the black handgun.

- A black male, in his late teens, about 6-foot-2, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.

Police ask that anyone who has information related to the robbery  contact the Clarkstown police Detective Bureau at 845-639-5840.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
