Orangetown officer injured in confrontation with two Haverstraw teens.

As an Orangetown police officer recovers from injuries sustained in a violent confrontation with two Haverstraw teens on Main Street in Nyack, police confirmed that a Good Samaritan came to the officer's assistance as he was struggling with the teens.

A Main Street business owner who was driving on Main Street Tuesday spotted the town officer as he was fighting off the two teens. The businessman got out of his car, pulled one of the teens off the officer, giving the officer time to regroup and subdue the teens.

With the situation under control, the business owner then got back in his car and went on his way.
