“Everyone at Nyack Hospital was deeply saddened by the loss of Ms. Sabine Icart," said David H. Freed, Nyack Hospital president and CEO. "We will miss her as a colleague and friend alike. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.”

Police said Icart's estranged husband, Bernard Icart, 46, became a person of interest in the investigation of the fatal shooting. Police in Orange County joined forces with New York City Police to track him to Ozone Park, Queens. However, when police went to the Queens home on Saturday they found that Bernard Icart had committed suicide.
