Community Reacts to the Deadly Hudson River Boat/Barge Crash

The tragic July 26 boating accident near the Tappan Zee Bridge that claimed two lives and injured four others have Westchester and Rockland residents talking.

What started as an enjoyable summer night on the Hudson River with friends, turned into a horrific tragedy that tore two to-be newlyweds apart, killing the bride and best man and seriously injured the groom and three others. 

The terrible July 26th crash where a speedboat slammed into a construction barge near the Tappan Zee Bridge construction site has left some blaming alcohol for accident, while others say lighting and other boating safety measures are inadequate.

The accident has left many heartbroken and many asking questions, while others are pointing fingers.
