Clarkstown Police Hunt for Man Accused of Attacking 2 With Hunting Knife
Joel Pointdujour—who answers to the moniker "The Beast"—is wanted for attacking and seriously injuring two victims with a hunting knife, police said.
Clarkstown Police are are working to track down a dangerous criminal in Rockland who answers to the nickname "The Beast," authorities told Patch Thursday afternoon.
Cops are on the hunt for Joel Pointdujour, a 24-year-old who is considered to be "armed and dangerous," said detective Stephen Cole-Hatchard. Pointdujour was last residing in the West Haverstraw and Garnerville, police said, and is known to frequent Spring Valley.
Pointdujour is accused of assaulting and seriously injuring two victims with a hunting knife in Central Nyack last Sunday night, Sept. 1, police said. The attack took place in front of El Molino III, a bar, authorities added.
"The first victim was slashed and stabbed in the stomach, suffering life-threatening injuries," Cole-Hatchard said. "The second victim was cut in numerous areas, also suffering serious injuries.
Police describe Pointdujour as standing 5'10" and weighing about 275 pounds.
"[He] has a violent history, is to be considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached," authorities said.
