Route 9W in Congers was closed to traffic in both directions because of a car wreck at Foltim Way at about 3:30 p.m. today.

Emergency officials said a teen driver apparently passed out behind the wheel while driving northbound on Route 9W and the car slammed into a utility pole. The teen was pulled from the wreckage and then taken to Nyack Hospital by members of Congers-Valley Cottage Ambulance Corps.
