Five people were injured Friday afternoon when a car cutting across marked isles in a Palisades Center mall parking lot struck another car traveling in a traffic lane, according to Clarkstown police.
Police said none of the victims were seriously injured, although they were taken to Nyack Hospital by volunteers from the Nanuet and Congers-Valley Cottage ambulance corps units for treatment. Members of Rockland Paramedics also assisted the injured.
As a result of the 3:45 p.m. crash near the Macy's store, one of the vehicles involved overturned in the parking lot. The vehicle's windshield and passenger-side window were smashed, with glass strewn across the parking lot.
