Car Hits Gas Meter at Central Nyack Home

No one injured, no fire from gas leak.

Residents of West Broadway in Central Nyack got a scare this morning when a resident struck the gas meter on a home on their block with a car in their driveway.

No one was injured in the 9 a.m. incident and the damage to the gas meter did not spark a fire.

The accident brought out Clarkstown police, volunteers from the Central Nyack Fire Department as well as a crew from Orange and Rockland Utilities.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I think…Read More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
