He's stopped by Rockland County Sheriff's officer for driving erratically in West Nyack.

A Blauvelt man who was spotted driving erratically on Route 59 in West Nyack is charged with drunken driving and marijuana possession, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Department.

Kevin Finch, 27, was stopped by a Sheriff's officer at 3:40 a.m. Monday. Police said that Finch appeared intoxicated when he was questioned and he was then charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

Police said Finch was taken to the Sheriff's Headquarters in New City and he was additionally charged with aggravated DWI for having more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system. He was also cited for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Finch was released pending a hearing in Clarkstown Town Court on Nov. 5.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
