Patch Picks: Blues Jam, Shakespeare, Festival

There's something for everyone to do this week in the Hudson Valley.

Harvest Fall Festival with Sandra Lee, Saturday, 1 p.m. Cooking star Sandra Lee will be answering questions and posing for pictures. The event will also feature drawings and raffles to benefit AKUSA Wildlife Rehabilitation. Animal Kingdom, 100 Independent Way, Brewster, Free.

Saturday, 8 p.m. See a Shakespeare classic performed by your kids, friends and neighbors. Nyack High School, 360 Christian Herald Rd, Nyack, $12.

Saturday, 12 p.m. Exhibit of 150 rare, vintage photos of iconic celebrities.  Some of the last photos taken of John Lennon and Yoko Ono as a couple before Lennon’s death are featured prominently. ArtsWestchester, 31 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, Free.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
