Legacy: Your Favorite Andy Griffith Performance? [POLL]

86-year-old had career spanning television, movies, music

Entertainment icon Andy Griffith—perhaps best known for bringing a folksy dignity to the fictional town of Mayberry, and the television screen—passed away Tuesday.

Griffith, age 86, died at his home in North Carolina. Authorities have not released the cause of death.

Griffith achieved the national spotlight playing a humble sheriff of the same name in "The Andy Griffith Show," but continued on to a successful career across several entertainment mediums.

His canny defense attorney in "Matlock" was quick to win over fans, too, and his musical endeavors—based on catchy gospel and country tunes—secured him a platinum record.

So, Patch wants to know: what Andy Griffith performances do you find most endearing?

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
