Visiting Hours are Sunday for Geary Edward Ahern

Geary Edward Ahern, MD of South Nyack, NY, born February 19, 1943, died unexpectedly on April 23rd 2014. Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Friend and Psychiatrist.

Geary devoted every ounce of his being to his family and Psychiatry, his life’s work. He was always good for a conversation and never in a rush. He was generous with his time, his heart and his homemade pesto. He enjoyed life on his own terms and at his own pace.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, son Christopher, daughter-in-law Ellen, grandson Jonah, granddog Dinga, siblings Pat, Julie, Tim, Jim and Larry and their spouses, as well as his beloved Doyle in-laws and many other family members and close friends.

His boundless curiosity and compassion for the world around him was and continues to be a source of joy and inspiration for all of us.

Visiting will take place on Sunday from 3PM until 6 PM at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 AM at St. Ann’s RC Church in Nyack.
