Frank Byman, 84, of Valley Cottage, NY died peacefully at home on Sunday, July 20, 2014. He was born in Bronx, NY to Frank and Susanne Byman.
He was survived by his children Janet Hermann-Cerbone, Susanne Madden, Frank Byman (Charlotte), and Patricia Byman (Bruce). He was grandfather to Joseph, Michael, Susanne, Annette, Bella and Jesse. He is also survived by his brothers William (Miriam), Richard (Mary), and James (Katherine) and many loving nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Janet Byman.
Frank was a Korean War Veteran, and worked for Macy’s brokerage as a diamond appraiser. Many times he was the “go to” man for family and friends wishing to purchase an engagement ring.

Family will receive visitors at Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc., Nyack, Friday, July 25 from 4pm – 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Paul's Church, Congers on Saturday, July 26 at 10AM. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
