The funeral service for Peggy Nadell, whose body was found Saturday morning inside her Valley Cottage home, will be held on Wednesday at Hellman Memorial Chapels in Spring Valley at 11 a.m. Clarkstown police said the 80 year old woman’s death was a homicide but have released few details and are continuing their investigation.
Nadell was born on October 11, 1933 in Brooklyn to Libby and Samuel Wekselblatt. She grew up in Brooklyn where she met her husband Robert Nadell who predeceased her in 2003. Nadell is survived by her children James and Susanne, her daughter-in-law Diana Nadell, son-in-law Robert Scaccio and grandchildren Leah and Harris Nadell.
Burial will follow the service at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, NY. The family asks that memorial contributions in her memory, be made to the Valley Cottage Library, 110 Route 303, Valley Cottage, N.Y. 10989.
