Nyack Trivia: Where Was It Located? (The Answers)

The answers to our 'Where Was It Located in Nyack' challenge. Another quiz to follow soon

Great job to all who played in the . Now, time to provide the answers to all my questions:

1. The Nyack Buick Auto Body Shop located? 59 Catherine St

2. 222 Main Street...what business was located there before Nyack Buick took over the building? Tom O'Hagan's bread bakery. At one time the largest bakers of bread in the county.

3. Gambitti's Nash Rambler Garage on the east end of Burd Street on the north side of the street.

4. Gregory & Sherman Lumber Yard was located on the west side of Railroad Ave.The entire property was later sold to Willcox & Gibbs.

5. Nyack's USO Club. was located on the north/east corner of Broadway and High Ave. Today it is the location of Nyack's favorite bakery.

6. Sunny's Jazz club was located on the north side of Cedar Hill just west of Franklin St. Be sure to read the February Issue of the Nyack Villager for the life story of Maurice "Sunny" Oliver

7. Sol Hecht and his brother ran a tire store on So. Broadway, West side where the deli is today.  And yes they changed the tires right on the street.

8. "Bunny" Haire's gas station was on New Street.

9. Tanges Sport Shop was on Broadway where Christophers is today

10. Jerry Prior's garage was on north side of upper Main west of Midland

11. "Beezer" Riley's diner was on Rte 9w

12. Harry Hoyle's plumbing shop was on North Franklin Street

13. Clyde Post's little gas station was next to HH on the East Side of Franklin

14. In 1947 Pickwick Book Shop was on Main Street where Starbucks is today

15. Cascadian Bottling Company was on River Rd. in Grandview

16. Dr. Relland's office c/o of Broadway and Brookside. Drs. Kline on Broadway and 1st.

17. Lou Cohen's "Lightning Lou's" was on the no. east c/o Main and Franklin

18. Glynn's was next to LL on Main

19. Manley Chevrolet was on 9W c/o High Ave

20. David Koblin bought out Blauvelt Drug Store in 1936
