United Way of Rockland Launches Emergency Coat Drive

United Way of Rockland County is coordinating an Emergency Coat Drive in response to the colder than average temperatures. 

The Emergency Coat Drive begins today and runs through Friday, Jan. 24. Drop-off locations are being set up in Pearl River, Nyack, Bardonia and Montebello to accept new coats for children and teenagers.

New coat donations can be dropped at:  Mack Cali at One Blue Hill Plaza in Pearl River; Greater Hudson Bank at 715 Route 304 in Bardonia; United Way of Rockland County at 135 Main Street, 2nd Floor in Nyack and Mack Cali at 400 Rella Boulevard in Montebello.

United Way reminds Rockland residents this is not only one of the most difficult winters in years, but it is also still a tough economic climate. Many Rockland residents continue to struggle financially.

The United Way, whose mission is to advance the common good, is asking those with the ability to purchase a new coat for a child or teenager and donate it or make a monetary contribution to help with the emergency coat drive. Monetary donations should be made by check, payable to United Way of Rockland County and sent to 135 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Nyack, NY 10960.
