UNICEF Raises $212,000 in West Nyack Golf Tournament

The United Nations Children's Fund announced that last week's UNICEF Drive for ZERO Golf Classic at Manhattan Woods Golf Club in West Nyack raised $212,000 to help further its goal of ensuring that no children die for preventable causes.

Celebrities including Matt Lauer, Bryant Gumbel and former New York Knick John Starks participated in the day-long event Sept. 23, which included a silent auction and awards ceremony along with the golf tournament.

UNICEF works in over 190 nations to improve children's lives by providing necessities such as health care, clean water, nutritional aid and emergency relief.
