A portion of the playground in Nyack's Memorial Park has been roped off for repairs.
The village is removing the older, wooden equipment and replacing it with metal structures.
"The wooden structures are beginning to show signs of significant deterioration," officials said.

The southern portion of the playground remains open for kids to use. Officials said the replacement will be done "in phases and... as quickly as possible."
