Nyack Center Spotlights Women of Leadership and Vision

As part of Women's History Month, the Nyack Center is hosting a brunch on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Nyack Center. We are launching the first annual Young Woman of Leadership and Vision Scholarship

The award will go to a young woman who is a college-bound High School Senior.

Nyack Center is  located at 58 Depew Avenue in Nyack, NY. Tickets are $55 per person.

The program, "Women of Leadership and Vision," honors community-minded achievers for their vision, innovation and leadership towards improving the quality of life for others. A catered brunch, entertainment and inspirational words are part of this special event.   

This year's honorees are: Katie Berry, Co-founder of Soup Angels Marion Breland Oswald, Director Village of Haverstraw Office of Children and Family Services Victoria Hertz, President of Edward Hopper House Art Center Board of Directors Selena Nixon, Associate Director, Family Connections Rockland Parent-Child Center Laurie Seeman, Earth Artist/Outdoor Educator, Founding Director-Strawtown Studio.

We are thrilled to announce that this year's event will include our first annual  Young Woman of Leadership and Vision Scholarship

The award will go to a young woman who is a High School Senior and is active in helping others in her community. For more scholarship award criteria, go to our website www.nyackcenter.org or NEW Facebook page: "Nyack Center Women of Leadership and Vision."   

Deadline is tight for application and essay. It needs to be received no later than 5:00 pm on February 20th (delivered -- not stamped and posted by post office on February 20th.) 

5 Finalists will be selected and notified the week of February 27th. Finalists must be present on March 8th to give 3-5 minute presentation at Maria Luisa Boutique.
