Gerry Nevins Foundation Fundraiser Picnic/Pig Roast
The Gerry Nevins foundation is sponsoring a fundraiser picnic in Rockland County, at the German Masonic Park in Tappan, New York. It's an old-fashioned neighborhood picnic featuring food, including a pig roast, and plenty of kid-friendly activities including games, raffles, crafts, and face-painting.
The Gerry Nevins Foundation was created to serve the needs of widows and widowers in Orange and Rockland counties who have recently lost their spouse. It provides
financial assistance for 3 months to help families meet their rent or mortgage payments.
The Foundation honors the life and death of Gerry Nevins, a Rescue 1 Firefighter who perished on September 11, 2001. It is a non-profit organization staffed solely by volunteers, allowing all funds to be distributed to eligible widows and widowers.
