October 4th Concert Celebrates Italian Heritage and Culture Month in Rockland County

The finest Italian classical and
Neapolitan music, played by the one remaining Italian concert band in the tri-state  area, will be featured in the Sixth Annual Rockland County Italian Heritage and
Culture Month Concert on Friday, October 4 at 7:30 pm. Conductor Joseph Stamboni leads the 31-piece Yonkers Concert Band in a free, two-hour performance at Tappan Zee High School, 15 Dutch Hill Road in Orangeburg. The program will include the symphonic march “Salve Umbria”, highlights from La Traviata, the overture to Nabucco, Great Themes from Italian Movies” and the band’s signature piece: a unique sing-along of twelve Neapolitan songs, with words provided to the audience. Joining the band will be soprano Christina Rohm and tenor Dale Smith.  Each will sing two selections and then join in a love duet.
