Hiking the Pacific Rim
Two years ago, Tappan resident David Booth saw a TV report about a part of Canada's Pacific Rim National Park on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island. The West Coast Trail spans 50 miles of old growth rain forest and Pacific Ocean beach. At the trail's southern end, near Port Renfrew, the snow capped peaks of the United States' Olympic National Park are visible from the beach. At its northern end, near Bamfield, the Pacific Ocean begins to stretch out past the Olympic Peninsula towards Asia. Join David and his hiking partner, Jakob Franke, for a first-hand account and multimedia presentation of an 8-day hiking excursion. Pre-register online at http://bit.ly/1fwgvrz
