Yes, it's been a while, but finally some good local jazz is hitting the scene again at Olives in downtown Nyack, NY. The concept alone already has quite a bit of local appeal, as musicians and listeners alike ready themselves for a tasty new treat in this little gem of a town. Band leader Lawrence Cohen, a Nyack resident and saxophonist has assembled a repertoire spanning several decades, as well as a vibrant and youthful rhythm section that can hang with the best of them.
